Professionals

Whether specialist medical, general medical, allied medical, dental, surgical, lawyer, barrister, accounting, engineer, architect or similar, the common elements are “time” and opportunity.

We recognise that professionals are a target client for most accountants and wealth planners.  But that doesn’t necessarily mean these professionals are obtaining the best advice and outcomes.  Too often we see terrible structures, generic strategies and lots of selling of “stuff”.

Our approach to “challenge the accepted” is vital when thinking of the BEST enduring results for a professional.  For example, we challenge why a medical surgeon should be structured as a company, particularly if their assets are appropriately structured and protected.

Similarly, we challenge why ownership of the building a professional may own and practice from is not held in a structure that points to minimising professional exposure and tax liabilities (maybe via superannuation or a joint venture structure with a trust).

Why pay taxes that are unnecessary? Why expose assets to professional negligence claims? Why not structure assets so future income and capital gains cannot be spread across a broader family group?  Why not protect your wealth proactively so that only bloodline family receive the benefits upon your death?

There are so many “why’s” and opportunities available to professionals.  We think strategically, long term and with a keen eye on after tax optimisation of income and asset protection.  We think this is vital!
